Meet our team

Welcome,

At Early Elements Therapy, we are dedicated to providing developmentally informed and relationship-based care for children, families, and adults. Our work is grounded in a deep understanding of how development unfolds over time and how early experiences, relationships, and environments shape emotional, social, and cognitive growth.

We believe that meaningful change happens within the context of relationships. Whether we are working with a young child, supporting a parent, or helping an adult better understand their own experiences, we take a thoughtful, individualized approach that prioritizes connection, understanding, and long-term growth.

Our team brings specialized training in early childhood, neurodivergence, and trauma-informed care, along with a shared commitment to helping individuals and families feel supported, understood, and empowered. We value collaboration and work closely with caregivers, schools, and other providers to ensure care feels consistent, coordinated, and aligned across settings. Together, we created Early Elements Therapy to offer a space where families can access comprehensive, developmentally grounded support in one place without having to navigate fragmented systems or piece together care on their own.

Early Elements Therapy

Why We Started

We created Early Elements Therapy to fill a gap we consistently saw in the field.

While many practices offer therapy services for children, it is often difficult to find specialized, developmentally informed care for young children or neurodivergent individuals in one place. Many of the families we work with are navigating multiple providers, receiving fragmented support, and are left trying to piece everything together on their own.

At Early Elements Therapy, we aim to provide a more connected and comprehensive approach. We support not only the child, but the entire family system by collaborating with parents, schools, and other providers to create consistency and clarity across environments. We often serve as a central point of coordination, working behind the scenes to help ensure that all parts of a child’s support system are aligned.

Our name “Early Elements” reflects our focus on the foundational elements of development, including relationships, connection, understanding, and emotional experience. By strengthening these early elements for individuals and their families, we help build the foundation needed for long-term growth, resilience, and well-being.

Our Approach

Our work is grounded in a developmental, relational, and trauma-informed framework.

We understand behavior as communication and focus on helping individuals and families better understand the underlying emotions, needs, and developmental processes driving what we see. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all or purely behavioral approach, we prioritize connection, follow the child’s lead, and tailor our work to each individual’s unique profile.

We draw from evidence-based and relationship-focused models, including Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) and DIR-Floortime, while also incorporating approaches such as EMDR and play therapy to provide developmentally informed care. We support families from the earliest stages by offering services such as maternal mental health care and infant massage, recognizing the importance of early relationships in shaping development.

Caregivers are an essential part of the therapeutic process. We work closely with parents to build understanding, confidence, and practical tools because we believe that meaningful and lasting change happens within relationships. Our goal is for families to not only feel supported, but to truly understand their child, regardless of age, and to feel more connected, confident, and empowered in their day-to-day lives.

Early Elements Therapy is an out-of-network practice. This allows us to provide individualized, developmentally informed care without the limitations often required by insurance companies.

We provide super-bills for all services, which can be submitted to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement if you have a PPO plan. Reimbursement rates vary depending on your specific plan. We are happy to support you in understanding this process and recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to learn more about your out-of-network mental health benefits and reimbursement rates.

We are committed to increasing access to care and offer a limited number of sliding scale spots on a case-by-case basis. If you are interested in a sliding scale fee, please indicate this in your initial consultation request so your provider can discuss options with you.

A sliding scale fee is a reduced rate based on financial need. We use a structured and consistent approach that takes into account factors such as household income and expenses to determine an appropriate fee. This allows us to offer equitable and ethical access to services while maintaining fairness across families.

If you have questions about fees, insurance, or reimbursement, we are happy to talk through your options with you.
